Campaign Basics

If you’re going to begin a mobile campaign, you need a compelling call to action, presented via signage or promo representative. In addition, your content should be rewarding and is relevant to the current activity of the participant. The content can be static (an image or contact info), dynamic (a video or audio clip), or an interactive application.

Examples of good content are:

  • Relevant – maps, how-to’s, instructional videos, real estate property tours
  • Rewarding – promotional coupons, an exclusive mp3, a video message from an artist
  • And you can always have a combination of both

Delivery methods -

  • Direct – A connection between a local computer and the device, we use bluetooth and wifi to do this. The advantage is no cost to the end user.
  • Indirect – A connection through the user’s service provider. The advantage is it works just about anywhere a phone works, however your user ends up paying 3 cents per kilobyte. Which works out to anywhere from 80 cents and up for picture content alone.
